Federal Budget 2021 - On April 19, 2021, the Canadian government released Budget 2021: A Recovery Plan for Jobs, Growth and Resilience (Budget 2021).

Budget 2021, released thirteen months into the COVID-19 pandemic, focuses on finishing the fight against COVID-19, in addition to long-term measures for the years to come. With this in mind, it is no surprise that many measures are committed to supporting seniors, caregivers and parents. Among them, the highlights for employers sponsoring retirement savings and benefits plans include increases to Old Age Security for Canadians age 75 and older and providing flexible access to EI benefits and greater support for mental health and wellness.
